cruz-R og antheus møtes for første gang. Our first meet.

cruz-R og JR-C har vært på besøk hos antheus vårt nye medlem i Oslo. Det skulle vise seg å bli et meget givende møte!! Å treffe antheus var som å finne igjen din "bortkommende sønn"! Vi måtte klype hverandre i armen for å se om vi drømte eller ikke... Han stilte opp i Indian Larry sweather og var super klar for Slow'n Low!

Siden det regnet i hovedstaden den dagen så ble vi enige om å treffes i et parkeringshus på arbeidsplassen hans. Allerede når vi tok syklene våre ut av den lånte Hiace'n var han "solgt" og det gikk ikke mange minuttene før nye idé'er på hva som kunne "kuztomiseres" ble diskutert.
Ikke bare er han utdannet som sveier og dreier men også som en "avansert" rørbøyer!
Han fortelte oss om hva slags planer han har med sine to Nirve sykler. Den ene som er kona (som også er sykkel interressert) sin skal bli litt mere "jentete" mens han på sin egen Switchblade planlegger å kutte overrøret på ramma å legge gaffelen bakover for å få den lavere pg lengere. Han drømmer også om å kjøpe seg en springer gaffel til den. Planen var også å lakke den matt svart og sette på røde felger, men etter å ha sett våre og hørt om T-bar sin matt svarte Dyno så ble han litt i tvil på fargene :-) Vi kjente at dette kom til å bli et meget bra medlem å ha med seg i klubben vår.

JR-C synes det er utrolig at det finnes flere så engasjerte! JR-C think it's pretty amazing to find other so "into" this thing...

Han hadde med seg broren sin som tok masse bilder av både oss og syklene våre. Etter å ha sett på hva vi hadde og hørt på hva som ble sagt så bestemte han seg der og da for at han skulle ha seg en Dyno Roadster så fort som fy!! Og vi la allerede planer om å reise til Amsterdam med syklene våre.
Her går det unna. Hvor har du vært i hele mitt liv..?

antheus følte seg hjemme... antheus was "home"...

cruz-R and JR-C have been visiting antheus our new member in Oslo. It turned out to be a great meeting. To meet this guy was like "finding your lost son"! We had to pinch our arms to se if we we're awake or not...
He came in an Indian Larry Sweather and was way beyond ready for Slow'n Low!

Since it was raining in Oslo we disided to meet in a parking-house at his work. When we opened the Toyota Hiace and showed him our bikes he was "sold"! And it did'nt take many minutes to start talking about "kuztumizing" plans! He told us what plans he have for his two Nirve bikes. One of them is his wife's bike so that'll be a little "girlie". And the other one a Switchblade will be kutted, welded, lowered and streched! And he was planing to paint i frlatt black and have red rims on it. But after looking at our bikes and hearing about T-Bar's flett black Dyno bike he kind'a was'nt that sure any more on colors.

This guy sounded like "the perfect" member for our little bicycle club. He's brother was taking a lot of pictures of both our bikes and of us. After looking at our bikes and listening to what we had to say he disided there and then that he wants to get himself a Dyno Roadster ASAP!!

Now that's our guy!!

Nytt medlem! New member!

antheus fra Os'low har meldt seg inn i SLPS. han har to stk. Nirve Choppere. En Switchblade som får noen kuztomtrix i løpet av vinteren og en Cannibal (så kona kan kjøre stil...).
antheus er også som oss andre en bil interressert kar. Han har bl.a. reis endel på Hot Rod treff i USA.

antheus from Os'low have just signed in as a member of SLPS, He's got two different Nirve Choppers. One Switchblade that'll get a few kuztomtrix this winter and a Cannibal so the misses can cruise in style...
antheus is as the rest of us a car-dude. He's into Hot Rods and he have been to a few big Hot Rod show in the US the past few years!

Our man Bryan Fuller, late of So-Cal Speed Shop and Foose Design, as well as numerous appearances on TLC's Overhaulin', has bailed on Southern California and hightailed it to Atlanta, GA. Besides his work on some of the most-wallet-imploding hot rods and customs ever seen, Fuller, a lifelong bicycle fiend, has built a number of phenomenally sexy custom two-wheelers, and just debuted the Texas T, one of the most unique custom motorcycles we've seen in an era of cookie-cutter billet choppers. We at Jalopnik support good dudes, and Fuller definitely counts as a good dude.

Aaron Bethlenfalvy Returns as Director of Industrial Design

Lake Forest, Cali -- October 23, 2006 --



A former GT Bicycles employee, Bethlenfalvy is excited to work with familiar brands and familiar people.

“I feel like I’m back home again,” said Bethlenfalvy. “There are lots of familiar faces and this is an easy transition. The opportunities here are great to make a big impact on the cycling community with all these brands, and I’m excited to be here. “

“Aaron’s work in the industry is well known and we feel fortunate to bring his vision back to our brands,” said Jeff Frehner, President and COO, Pacific Cycle, owner of the GT Bicycles brand. Bethlenfalvy spent a total of seven years at GT designing bicycle frames and components for specialty markets. He was responsible for defining, creating and managing brand identity and for taking products from initial concept through production.

Bethlenfalvy’s designs for GT have been published in countless periodicals and included numerous cover photos. He was awarded a “Best of Category” award from Popular Mechanics Magazine, he had a live interview on the Kevin and Bean radio show, was recognized as an expert in his category in the book "Lessons from the Edge," and he developed the very popular Kustom Kruiser product line.

Bethlenfalvy was also instrumental in helping GT extend its appeal beyond its existing demographic by taking the lead design role in many successful collaborations such as the Harley Davidson Bicycle project, Charger Electric Bicycle project, and the American Eagle Outfitters Bike project. Parallel to his employment at GT, Bethlenfalvy also worked at ITT Technical institute as an industrial design instructor.

Previously, Bethlenfalvy worked with Nirve Sports, LTD. of Fountain Valley, CA, as Director of Product Design. While at Nirve, Aaron helped the company establish its cruiser brands, was responsible for all product development and Q.C. duties, and shared responsibility for marketing duties. Bethlenfalvy’s combination of popular culture and bicycles resulted in memorable co-branded collaborations with the likes of Paul Frank, John Deere, Hello Kitty and Robert August.

A graduate of Ohio State University, Bethlenfalvy has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design with specialization in product design.

In his spare time, Aaron is an avid “Hot Rodder” and is involved in the Kustom Kulture scene in Southern California. He has designed and built his own car, a 1951 Ford Custom, and performed all the custom fabrication work himself. He was also co- founder of Orange County Kustoms, a southern California custom car fabrication shop in Santa Ana, Cali., which has built numerous custom cars over its first year in business.

Aaron’s personal interests are the inspiration for many of his designs in the bicycle industry, which have begun to change consumer’s perception of a bicycle from that of a transportation product to one of fashion.
